The general Meto wind today was predicted to be only about 8mph, but the sea breeze was hopefully going to increase it to a flyable level. Checking the Solent weather stations is always a good way to monitor what's happening.

Arrived at Brightstone at 3:30pm to find a nice 14-18mph wind. Took off and found plenty of lift, ridge lift with thermals mixed in. A bit bumpy, max of about 3.5m/s up. Roger took off a few minutes later and later Chris arrived and joined us in the air. The whole of Brighstone ridge was working well. After around 45 minutes got a bit too cold and landed. A nice flight to blow out the cobwebs.

Where was everybody else?
